Currently I'm on the New Person Experience (NPX) team under the Growth Engineering org. My team owns and optimizes the onboarding process for Facebook. Day to day, I mostly program in Java for the Android app, and PHP (Hack) for our backend.
At Google's Nest Labs, I worked on the Data Infrastruture team in Palo Alto, California from May to August 2016. I built a Dataflow job monitoring dashboard in Python/Django hosted on Google App Engine.
At Microsoft I worked on the Payment Services team in Redmond, Washington from May-August 2015. I built and optimized an ASP.NET Web API for a new payment monitoring dashboard.
At Commonwealth Computer Research Inc., I worked on a contract for the Office of Naval Resarch. I wrote an algorithm in Scala which used NLP to parse and geocode location names found in news articles. You can read more about what I did on the CCRi company blog
I graduated May 2017 from the University of Virginia as a Rodman Scholar where I majored in Systems & Information Engineering and minored in Computer Science. I went to highschool at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology.
I'm fascinated by growth engineering and thinking about how and why technology spreads. I'm also interested in building tools to intelligently surface insights in data which then can accelerate and inform the growth engineering process.
